Accountants-online.ca provides professional online accounting services including personal and corporate tax preparation (T1/T2), bookkeeping, payroll management, GST/HST filing, and financial advisory services to clients across Canada. Services are delivered 100% online via our secure client portal.

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and timely information required for your services
• Notify us promptly of any changes to your financial or business situation
• Review and approve all filings before submission to the CRA
• Pay for services in accordance with agreed pricing

4. Accuracy of Information

Our work is based solely on the information you provide. We are not responsible for errors, penalties, or adjustments resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed information provided by the client. You are responsible for maintaining original source documents.

5. Fees and Payment

Service fees are as agreed upon in your engagement letter or service proposal. Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of completed work until payment is received. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and subject to applicable taxes.

6. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with professional accounting standards and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). We will not disclose your information to third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not responsible for CRA penalties arising from information you provided that was incorrect or incomplete.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and blog posts — is the property of Accountants-online.ca and protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce or redistribute our content without written permission.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with reasonable written notice. Upon termination, you remain responsible for fees owed for work completed. We will provide you with copies of completed work upon receipt of final payment.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify existing clients of material changes by email.
